Transfer to Fabric or Paper InkJet Temporary
This guy is a genius.
I was bummed I couldn't print on a larger piece of fabric with my Epson. Print on wax paper, then burnish it on fabric... genius.
As far as I can tell regular ink jet printers are for the most part only temporary. This is useful if you want to print an embroidery design, transfer it to your fabric, embroider it then wash it out. Which is exactly what I want to do today.
I already printed one of the SeaShell embroidery images from a previous post Summer Embroidery. Yea!, it came out awesome! I didn't have any large label sheets so I just took all the dots off a yardsale price tag leftover sheet I had and taped it to a full size sheet of paper and printed.
The Epson with Durabright ink however is a more permenant ink on fabric. I found one at the thrift store for $4 << Ha, that was a good day!
You can also pretreat the fabric with Homemade Bubble Jet Set. I plan on making a post for that in a few minutes so look for the link in the menu for that recipe.
