Gingerbread Cookies

How freaking pretty are these? I'll take 3 dozen thank you. These would make really nice gifts. Mixed in with some clothespin cookies and fudge what a pretty holiday tray.

My post Fall Cookies has a recipe for icing other than Royal Icing as well as a link to a tutorial on decorating cookies.  There is also a video below that shows the technique used in frosting the pinecone. Here is a link to how to make the poinsettias.

Jamaican Gingerbread I got this recipe from a library book during our 1st annual family cookie bake-off.  I used Jamaican Allspice because it was all we had in the house and the cookies came out really good. I don't know if that was what made the difference. I totally should have decorated them like this picture. Maybe I will this year. Alan Dart's Hula Hamsters has a cute drum. Maybe I will make a little Gingerbread Reggee Band this year.

Here is the inspiration for this year's cookie train tunnel.

Centerpiece for the train... Ice Skating Pond and deer...

This deer is awesome. Of course she made the mold herself.

Pretty cookies for the tray...
